What Training Do I Get?

JAN-PRO provides its new Franchise Partners with comprehensive training, covering all aspects of running a JAN-PRO franchise business to ensure you can hit the ground running and deliver the high standards of customer service that have helped us establish our global reputation for excellence.

Regional Franchise Partners

We assist with all aspects of setting up your JAN-PRO franchise business. We then provide you with on-the-job training and continuous business support, so you are ready to take the reins of running your own business.

Our initial comprehensive training programme is designed to equip Regional Franchise Partners with the knowledge and skills required to successfully operate a JAN-PRO franchise.

The Regional Franchise Partner (plus one additional member of the business, if desired) will undertake initial, office-based training sessions, which are designed to fully prepare you to operate your own business.

We also provide full training for Regional Franchise Partners on our cleaning processes, so that they understand the role of Unit Franchise Partners. This includes external courses on First Aid and COSSH & Chemical Handling.

We are so serious about supporting our Regional Franchise Partners properly that from the moment they sign their franchise agreement they have daily direct access to our UK Directors and our in-house development team, who will provide ongoing strategic advice, financial planning and business guidance.

The training also involves day’s on-site support by JAN-PRO or an experienced Regional Franchise Developer to help with initial sales prospecting and attend the first few presentations that you deliver.

In addition, a US orientation trip is included as part of the franchise package. This expenses paid, two-week training programme at JAN-PRO global headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, is an invaluable opportunity to become fully familiarised with JAN-PRO founding principles and methods, and a fantastic opportunity to build relationships with international colleagues.

Unit Franchise Partners

Our comprehensive package of support is specially designed to help Unit Franchise Partners grow and develop their businesses.

At the outset, Unit Franchise Partners undergo five office-based training sessions, designed to fully prepare you to operate your own business.

This training covers:

  • Introduction to JAN-PRO
  • Our Operations Manual and policies & procedures
  • How to start your business & business administration
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Customer service
  • Introduction to the cleaning business through a cleaning schedule
  • Introduction to chemicals and equipment
  • Room by room cleaning training
  • New contract acquisition and set up
  • Account loss prevention
  • Efficient and profitable ways of cleaning
  • Cost reduction methods
  • Product range and ordering process
  • Health & safety training & manual
  • Training on COSHH & risk assessments

Unit Franchise Partners typically attend a further three training sessions during the first two weeks of trading – on site at a their own premises – to ensure they are comfortable operating the JAN-PRO system.

The Regional Franchise Partner will provide ongoing regular onsite visits to each Unit Franchise Partner, as well as offering technical advice during normal office hours. Twice a year you will be required to attend development meetings with other Unit Franchise Partners organised by your Regional Franchisee.
